Cyber Marketing Panel
May 25, 2011 Kevin Garcia Jenn Kovacs Opt 2 Web 4322 East Tradewinds Avenue Dear Kevin and Jenn: On behalf of the Board of Trustees, cultural clients and volunteer consultants of the Arts & Business Council of Miami we would like to thank you for participating as a member of our speaker panel for the Cyber Marketing: Reaching New Audiences with Technology Breakthroughs workshop on May 24th at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Thank you for volunteering to share your knowledge and for taking the time to prepare for this workshop. As you know digital marketing and new technologiescan save our arts groups time and money and provide them with new ways to build audiences and get the word out. The program explored opportunities for arts executives to be smarter, more connected and better able to work with the NEW technology landscape to reach ticket buyers, donors and members. Your discussion about website design and search engine optimization were great. And of course showcasing our new website was the highlight of the program! We got lots of great comments from participants about the event. The workshop was one of our best programs ever as our evaluations came in with rave reviews. The program was an important part of our 2011 Miami Arts Marketing Project workshop series. Attracting new audiences through creative marketing is critical to the earned income and viability of non-profit cultural groups. There is a tremendous need for training and resource sharing in this area - especially among small and mid-sized organizations. In 2011 we will host 7 workshops and 2 roundtable discussions in the Miami Arts Marketing Project series. The Arts & Business Council provides the catalyst for building working partnerships between the corporate and cultural communities. As you know, ABC is a unique organization that is making a significant difference in Miami-Dade assisting over 500 arts groups through volunteer programs, workshops, collaborations, networking events and executive consultancies. As we mark our 25th year at the Arts & Business Council and look toward the future, we see new challenges facing the cultural community. In this economic climate the Arts & Business Council has both the opportunity and obligation to provide services that can help the cultural community with new initiatives. These increasing difficulties will reward arts organizations that effectively and efficiently use their resources. The services of the Arts & Business Council have become increasingly essential to maintaining a vital and diverse cultural community To thank you for serving as a speaker you are invited to attend any of our local Arts & Business Council programs as our guest. Your participation contributed greatly to the success of this innovative program. Thank you again for your support and participation. We look forward to working with you on future programs. Sincerely, Laura Bruney Executive Director
